My name is Ashley, and I started this children’s clothing store with the support of my insanely supportive husband, Jered. Together, in our small town of Albertville, Alabama, we raise our 5 children. I also teach elementary school, and he owns his own tree service.

Fifth & Poplar originated simply because I love children’s clothing! Our goal is to have something for all kids from birth to pre-teen, a one stop shop if you will. I love having cute, trendy clothes for my children that are good quality and low cost! Our mission is to provide our customers with high-quality, affordable pieces that range from trendy to timeless. 

The name Fifth & Poplar has so much meaning to us. “Fifth” for our five children that we are so blessed to raise; “Poplar” is after the tree species that is said to symbolize stability and protection. Poplars (specifically what is called rainbow poplar) have become some of our favorite wood to cut due to its striking appearance. In our family, and through this clothing company, we hope to always maintain a striking appearance, while radiating the love, stability, and protection we find in Christ.
